Davido Defines His Music And Dishes On His Early Years

Nigerian singer, Davido is one of the most successful music acts in Africa with global recognition beckoning on him after he signed a deal with Sony and also RCA records.

In his debut interview on Apple Radio Beats 1, with OAP, Ebro Darden of New York top radio station, Hot 97, the multiple award winning singer has clarified that his music is not afrobeats but rather his music is afrofusion.

Speaking about when his career started, he revealed that the likes of Wande Coal and D’banj encouraged him when he was starting out as he was in his mid-teens at the time and he heard his song played in a club.

It would be recalled that recently, Davido’s ex-girlfriend gave him a shout out despite their no longer being together saying that even though their relationship didn’t work out, they are still friends which is what is important to her.

Davido currently has a daughter named Imade with Sophie Momodu, the niece to Ovation Magazine publisher, Dele Momodu.
