Ed Sheeran Continues His Impressive Streak With New Album Divide

By  |

We predicted that Ed Sheeran might be toppling Adele’s record for fastest selling album in one week but he missed out on that chance and was only able to come third place.

However he has some consolation as his album, Divide has been able to rack in some impressive records. Ed Sheeran never expected it but the album has nine songs in Radio 1’s Official Chart with Greg James.

The album has so far sold an amazing 672,000 copies, making it the fastest-selling album by a male artist in the UK ever outselling the rest of the top 500 albums combined.

Speaking on the nine songs being in the top ten, Ed Sheeran revealed he never expected it but he is definitely happy about it. Ed’s singles Shape Of You, Galway Girl, Castle On The Hill, Perfect, New Man and Happier took up all top six spots on the chart.

In fact, the pop star is the first artist to have all 16 tracks of his album chart in the top 20. This is just the first week, we are sure the album would be smashing some more records.
