Family And Friends Concerned For Omoni Oboli’s Safety As she Shoots In South Africa

By  |

Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli is currently in Gauteng, Johannesburg in South Africa for her ongoing movie project. This has her friends and family members worried about her safety due to the xenophobic attacks going on in South Africa on Nigerians.

The filmmaker shared a screenshot of her WhatsApp conversation with her driver named Seyi in Lagos. Her driver had words of prayers for her safe return as the actress continues to do what she knows how to do best.

It would be recalled that back in December 2016, the award winning actress, producer and director went on a social media rant following criticism of her movie, Wives On Strike for getting an African Magic Movie Viewers Choice nomination.

The article which was written by a YNaija writer listed the movie as one of the worst Nollywood movies of 2016 and Omoni Oboli wasn’t taking that sitting down.

Following her rant, YNaija boss, Chude Jideonwo lashed out at her asking her not to come for his writers.

In his response, he said that the oldest trick in the book is to say a person hates another because they do not agree on the same thing and that this is a dirty, silly and small minded behaviour.
