Kevin-Prince Boateng Admits Letting Fame Get The Better of Him In Candid Interview
Former AC Milan star Kevin-Prince Boateng in a recent interview with Marcas has opened up on how he wasted money on cars, nightclubs and fake friends after struggling to handle fame.
The football star who has also once played for Tottenham and currently playing for Las Palmas in La Liga said for two years he squandered his cash on cars, watches and nightclubs and also had struggle dealing with fame until the 2010 World Cup.
The Ghanaian international revealed that for someone like him who grew up in a poor neigbourhood and had no money, he realised he was living a dangerous lifestyle and he has come to realise that. He also said thanks to his mistakes, he has been able to emerge as a better person.
He said seeing how good some of football elite players were at the 2010 South Africa World Cup made him reaslise that he needed to concentrate only on football to reach that level and the 28 year old said he has since been able to change his mentality.
