The entertainment industry was thrown into mourning yesterday, December 13 when it was announced that famous Hollywood actor, Alan Thicke had passed away following a heart attack.

The Canadian born actor most famous for his role as Jason Seaver, the dad on the ’80s sitcom, “Growing Pains” had a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter.

He was transported to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center around noon but pronounced dead there. His son, singer Robin Thicke has now broken his silence over his father’s death.

The 39 year old music star referred to his father as the greatest man he ever met and that just a few days ago when they met, he still told him how much he loved and respected him.

Alan had three children, Robin, Brennan and Carter and would be greatly missed. We do hope his family can endure the pain and come through during this sad period for them.
