Toyin Aimakhu Weighs In On Big Brother Naija Disqualifed Contestant Kemen’s Sexual Assault Case
Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu has aired her views on the ongoing controversy surrounding the disqualification of Kemen, a contestant on reality TV show, Big Brother Naija for sexual assault.
It would be recalled Kemen touched another contestant, TBoss without her approval while she was asleep and this led to his getting disqualified to much heated debate.
Toyin is of the opinion that Kemen’s incident should educate the public about serial offences. According to her, men must learn that no means no and they shouldn’t imagine a consent that hasn’t been given.
She went on to write that they shouldn’t assume as a woman owns her body and has a right to it. She also urged parents to raise better men who will be protectors of women and not aggressors because protecting the women would make the world a better place.
Kemen’s brother has since shut down rumours that the family would be suing Big Brother for tarnishing Kemen’s image. This is contrary to rumours circulating on social media that they plan to sue the reality TV show for portraying Kemen as a predator.
